Dear Volleyball Friends,
Greetings from Hungary!
I would like to ask for your help to popularize Eötvös
Cup, our international volleyball tournament. We
organize this tournament annually, now for the 18th time,
in Debrecen, Hungary. The tournement will be held August
17-19, 2014. Volleyball players (boys and girls) born in
1995 or later can take part in the competition. (Beach
volleyball: 21 August 2014!!)
Dozens of teams from 35 countries of four continents
have participated in Eötvös Cup so far, including
national teams of Belgium, Chile, Georgia, Israel, Qatar,
Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Romania, Switzerland, Taiwan,
Tunisia and Hungary, club teams and school teams from
the USA, the United Arab Emirates, China, Denmark,
Estonia, Finland, Greece, the Netherlands, Latvia, etc.
Béla Hóbor, one of the most experienced FIVB referee was
officiate at the final of the 17th Eötvös Cup. He
officiated at 4 Olympic Games including the finals in
Sydney (2000), Beijing (2008) and London (2012).
The tournament is organized before the Flower Carnival
in Debrecen, so participants can enjoy the carnival and
cultural programs as well.
Teams arriving from a country, which have not delegated
a team for the Eötvös Cups yet get FREE accomodation and
meals!!!
